Where's my bitcoin?
Paste a transaction ID or address. We'll tell you, in plain English, where it is and when it should arrive.
Lookups go straight from your browser to mempool.space. 21VOX never sees what you paste.
Taking too long? What you can doOpens on its own if your transaction falls behind the backlog.
If you sent it: bump the fee (RBF)
Most wallets have a "Speed up" or "Bump fee" button. It replaces your transaction with the same one at a higher fee.
Sparrow, BlueWallet and many others support it. Some exchanges and older wallets don't.
If you're receiving it: pull it through (CPFP)
Spend the incoming coins to yourself with a high fee. Miners take both transactions together to collect the fee.
Works only once the transaction shows in your wallet as pending.
Or wait
Nothing is lost. When fees drop or the backlog clears, it confirms. If it waits about two weeks, most nodes drop it and the coins show as unspent in the sender's wallet again.

How it works
Why bitcoin transactions wait
Every transaction waits in the mempool until a miner puts it in a block. A new block arrives about every 10 minutes and holds a limited amount of data, so miners pick the transactions paying the highest fee per byte first.
Your place in line depends on your fee rate, not when you sent it. This tool finds your fee rate, finds where it lands among the blocks miners are likely to build next, and turns that into a wait.
FAQ
Common questions
What is a confirmation?
When a miner puts your transaction in a block, it has 1 confirmation. Every block added after that adds one more, and each makes the transaction harder to reverse. Many exchanges credit deposits after 1 to 3 confirmations; six is the long-standing standard for large amounts.
Why is my transaction pending?
Blocks have limited space, so miners take the transactions paying the highest fee rate first (see transaction fee). If yours paid less than the ones waiting, it waits in the mempool until the line clears or fees drop. Paste its ID above to see where it is in line.
Can I cancel a bitcoin transaction?
You can't recall a transaction once it's broadcast. If it is still unconfirmed and your wallet supports replace-by-fee, you can replace it with a version that pays the coins back to yourself, at a higher fee. Once it confirms, it's final.
Is this the same as a Lightning payment?
No. This tool tracks on-chain bitcoin, the transactions recorded in blocks. Lightning payments settle instantly or fail, off-chain; check your wallet's payment history for those.
Does 21VOX see my transaction?
No. Your browser asks mempool.space directly, and the ID or address you paste stays in the part of the page address after the #, which browsers never send to a server. Our analytics record that a lookup happened and its result, never the ID or address. Nothing is stored.
